PRIVACY POLICY

EFFECTIVE: JULY 22, 2026

The short version: No accounts. No ads. No ad trackers. No profile of you. Your training log and your health data never leave your device. There are exactly two narrow exceptions, spelled out in plain words below: anonymous crash diagnostics, and — only if you choose to leave a tip — purchase processing. Neither one ever includes your health or training data.

Who we are

Sensei ("the app") is published by Foxxception ("we," "us"). This policy describes how the app handles information. Contact: legal@foxxception.com.

What stays on your device

Everything that makes up your journey is stored locally on your phone and is never transmitted to us:

Your training program, ladders, rungs, and daily logs
Your easy / medium / hard feedback and recalibration history
Belt progress and Trial results
Body weight, sleep, and heart data read from Apple Health or Health Connect
Settings and preferences

We have no server for this data and no way to request it. We cannot see it.

What leaves your device — the complete list

1. Crash diagnostics

So we can fix what breaks, the app sends automatic crash and error reports to Sentry, acting as our data processor. A report contains:

The error and its stack trace
App version, operating-system version, and device model
A random identifier for the installation

A report does not contain your name or email (we never collect them), your training log, or any health data. Session Replay — screen recording — is disabled, and we do not send personal identifiers such as your IP address for user profiling. Crash reports are not linked to your identity and are never used for advertising.

2. Purchases — only if you leave a tip

Sensei is free, and nothing in it is locked. If you choose to leave an optional tip, the payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see or receive your payment details. We use RevenueCat to validate and record that a purchase happened. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user identifier and the transaction record. No name, no email, no health data. If you never tip, nothing is sent.

Apple Health (HealthKit) and Health Connect

On supported devices, Sensei can optionally connect to Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android):

Opt-in only. Nothing is read until you explicitly grant permission through the system permission dialog.
Read-only. The app reads workouts (walks, runs, rides, swims), body weight, sleep sessions, and heart data (heart rate, resting heart rate, and heart-rate variability). It does not write any health data.
On-device only. Health data is processed on your phone to show today's workouts, let you claim a rung, and display your own sleep and heart trends next to your training log. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party — including our crash-diagnostics and purchase providers — never stored on any server, and never used for advertising.
Revocable. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, or in Health Connect settings on Android.

Backups and export

The app can export your entire journey to a single file that you save wherever you choose — iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or your device's Files app. That file goes directly from the app to the destination you pick. It never passes through us, and we never receive a copy. Your device's own operating-system backup may also include the app's local data, governed by Apple's or Google's privacy policies, not ours.

Sentry — crash and error diagnostics
RevenueCat — purchase validation, only if you tip
Apple / Google — app distribution and payment processing

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone, and we run no advertising or product-analytics SDKs.

Deleting your data

Your journey lives on your device. Deleting the app deletes everything the app stored. To request deletion of crash diagnostics or purchase records associated with your installation, write to legal@foxxception.com.

Children

Sensei is a general-audience fitness tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, we will update this page and note the new effective date above.
