By downloading or using the Sensei app ("the app"), published by Foxxception ("we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Physical training carries inherent risk of injury. All training decisions made while using the app are yours alone. The app's guidelines (progression caps, return-to-run guidance, deloads, and similar) are informational only — the app never blocks any action, and you remain solely responsible for every rep, load, and mile you choose to attempt. You assume all risk associated with your training.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the rules of the app store from which you downloaded it.
The app is free, and it stays free. There is no paywall, no subscription, and no feature is locked behind a payment.
The app offers an optional tip ("Support the Dojo") as an in-app purchase. Tips are entirely voluntary and unlock nothing — they are a contribution toward continued development, not a purchase of features, goods, or services. All payments are processed by Apple or Google under their terms; we never receive or store your payment details. Refund requests are handled by the app store you purchased through, in accordance with its policies, not by us.
Data you enter is stored locally on your device. The app includes an export feature so you can save a backup file wherever you choose and restore it later. Keeping backups is your responsibility: we have no copy of your journey and cannot recover it if you delete the app, lose your device, or lose your backup file. Apple Health and Health Connect integration is optional, read-only, and governed by the permissions you grant in your device settings. Workout, weight, sleep, and heart data shown in the app comes from those services as-is; we are not responsible for its accuracy.
The app uses Sentry for crash and error diagnostics, and RevenueCat to validate purchases if you leave a tip. These services process limited technical data as described in the Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability or performance of third-party services.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FOXXCEPTION SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY INJURY, LOSS OF DATA, OR OTHER LOSSES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR YOUR TRAINING ACTIVITIES. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, IT IS LIMITED TO THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
The Sensei name, icon, visual design, and software are the property of Foxxception. All rights reserved. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual-property rights to you.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of the publisher's residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
